The ZCacheLib project is pleased to pass on to its users the following announcement on behalf of the Caché and M-Technology Association (CAMTA):
At the AGM on 10th November, the CAMTA committee announced two new initiatives
for the benefit of both CAMTA members and the wider Cache and M-Technology (C+M)
community: the CAMTA Forum and the
InterSystems Liaison group. Both of
these initiatives are built on web forums sponsored by CAMTA.
The CAMTA Forum consist of a set of boards intended to help developers help each
other. It is divided into topics in a way that CAMTA hope will make it easier for
users to share knowledge and in particular, to seek help with their C+M related
problems. CAMTA hope to shortly extend these forums to include a Knowledge Base,
so the site can also become a source and archive of useful material for C+M
developers.
The InterSystems Liaison Group (ILG) is a new sub-group within CAMTA.
The board felt that both CAMTA members (and the wider C+M community) and
InterSystems could benefit from a more structured relationship that would
promote a better two-way flow of information. After discussions with InterSystems,
the CAMTA board has approved the formation of this new group. The intention is
for the Cache community to debate what changes and additions they would like to
see in InterSystems' products, and to build a consensus view of each proposal to
gauge the support that it has in the user community. These proposals can then be
fed into InterSystems in a structured way, and feedback on the proposals from
InterSystems returned to the users through the same channel.
For more in-depth information regarding both these proposals, please go to the
CAMTA Forum Home Page at
http://forum.camta.net.
The people behind the ZCacheLib project are thrilled to see new resources for the Caché and M development community flourish, and especially by the fact that a respected organization such as CAMTA finds value in promoting user interaction and feedback with respect to InterSystems' products. ZCacheLib expects high levels of success from the CAMTA Forum and InterSystems Liaison Group, and looks forward to future collaborations between the ILG and ZCacheLib.
